Two of music’s most well-loved oddballs offer their unique talents to the same track in Rustie’s Attak featuring spits from the borderline demented rap sensation Danny Brown.
Rustie whips up a mean-mugging trap beat to stage Brown as he goes full Attak mode on the lyrics. The additional kicks and bass notes bring extra thump to the beginning of each bar of Rustie’s refreshing beat, which alternates between the pounding main section and a stripped-down showcase of his pan flute lead, allowing for Brown’s abrasive lyrical brilliance to shine unfettered.
This isn’t the first time the two eclectic musicians have joined their strange forces as one. Rustie produced Brown’s shimmering Side B (Dope Song) in 2013.
